The Good neighbour Awards 2020 winners

We are very proud of all the 2020 winners and the difference they have made in their neighbourhoods. With pride, we bring you the Good Neighbour Awards 2020 film.

Here you can read some of the stories of our 2020 Good Neighbour Awards winners.

James
James has helped me so much over the last 3 years. He has boosted my self-confidence, given me encouragement. I can talk to him about anything anytime. He has been by my side supporting me with my health and other situations in my life. My family are extremely thankful to James for everything he is doing for me. I don’t know what I would do without him.

Jasmine
Jasmine supports members of the community with their mental health and wellbeing, showing kindness and being helpful to her neighbours. Jasmine shows selflessness during a difficult time.

Marie
Marie goes above and beyond as a neighbour, she helps out with gardening, shopping and walking dogs. One of her neighbours was recently admitted to hospital, Marie is looking after her dog, her cat, as well as her garden. Her constant support for her neighbours has lifted everyone’s spirits and bought the community closer together.

Michael
During lockdown Michael has provided support to his neighbours, preparing and delivering food to vulnerable members of the community, as well as offering transport when needed.

Jan and Rick
Jan and Rick help everybody in the village by setting up a Facebook donation page, where members of the community donate items which are sold to fund food parcels which are then distributed to low-income households in the neighbourhood.

Nelie
Nelie has become a trusted member of the neighbourhood, being a championing voice for fellow customers, helping new customers feel welcomed and taking in food parcel for people. The little things she does make a really big difference to the community.

Robert
Robert goes out of his way to support his neighbours. He’s the go to person for elderly customers, making sure they are doing well, going to the shops for them and delivering food. He’s also always available for a chat no matter how busy he is.
