Across the Places for People Group, we currently have 41 roles available as part of the new Government Kickstart scheme.

If you or someone you know is interested, please apply as soon as possible as the closing date for applications is 20th December 2020.

What is the Kickstart scheme?

The Kickstart scheme offers job placements for 16 to 24-year olds who are on Universal Credit or Job Seekers Allowance and at risk of long-term unemployment. These placements are designed to give young people the valuable experience, knowledge and skills of being in a work environment which will improve their chances of going on to find future long-term employment.

The Kickstart scheme is funded by the Government and launched in September 2020. The scheme offers job placements which are paid at 100% of the National Minimum Wage (or the National Living Wage depending on the age of the participant) for 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months.

How does it work?

As part of your job placement, we will provide you with full training, support and guidance to help you make the most of your placement with us. Our training will include communication skills, teamworking, listening effectively, speaking and presenting with confidence. All training will be provided either face to face or through digital workshops.

The current job placements available across Places for People are in areas including finance, lettings, property maintenance, marketing, customer services, project management, landscaping and compliance.
