Continuing to provide support to our customers is important to us and we are doing all we can to make this happen.
Places for People is now accepting non-emergency repairs as lockdown restrictions are gradually eased.
We expect high demand as the telephone service re-opens, so where possible please use our online service which allows you to book a suitable appointment date and time.
Before starting work, we will ask if anyone in your home is shielding, self-isolating or showing any symptoms of COVID-19. If someone in your household is self-isolating or has tested positive for the virus, we will only carry out emergency work in certain circumstances.
All trades operatives will show you identification when they visit your home. Please check this and once you are satisfied, you can leave our contractor or colleague to carry out their work.
While in your home our operatives will be using new safe ways of working designed to reduce the spread of coronavirus. This includes wearing personal protective equipment and wiping down surfaces they touch with disinfectant wipes.
Our teams follow social distancing guidelines of two metres, so we may ask you to stay in a separate room during the visit. Operatives will let themselves out when they have finished but will check that you are happy with the work first.
If you need any help or support or have any questions about the restarting of our repairs service, please visit our coronavirus FAQs or call 01772 667002.
